I recently discovered that those cute little ladybirds I have been photographing in my backyard are actually pests. Named the '28 Spotted Potato Ladybirds', these little guys feed on the leaves of potatoes, pumpkins, melons and other leafy crops.
It's that time of year again - the kids are getting ready to go back to school. In between the covering of books and labelling of clothing I thought I would take some time out and snap a few photos.
Here's the set up:
I wrapped a rubber band around the group of pencils and placed them on top of a white board. Then I placed the camera directly above the top of the pencils.
