Texture Tuesday - Kim Klassen Cafe - Gardening

I found this beautiful lavender in my parents' garden yesterday.

Details:

Background Image
Layer 1: Texture: Stained Linen; Blend Mode: Soft Light @ 75%
Layer 2: Texture: Yesteryear; Blend Mode: Soft Light @ 75%

Both textures were colourized to a purple shade.

  3. I love this...! 'newbie' question--How do you colourize the textures?

  4. I colourize the textures by using the following steps in Photoshop CS5:

    1. Select the layer you wish to colourize.
    2. In the menu bar at the top of the screen choose Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation (or use the shortcut Ctrl+U).
    3. In the Hue/Saturation screen check the 'Colorize' box.
    4. Adjust the 'Hue' slider till you find the colour you like.

    Hope this helps.
